Fraction have four types: proper, whole, improper and mixed

Improper fraction is where number at numerator is lower than denominator

Whole fractions is when numerator and denominator are same OR any big numerator that can be divided into denominator

Mixed numbers is the combination of numbers and proper fractions

Mixed numbers cannot be converted into improper fraction vice versa (improper to mixed)

To convert improper fraction to mixed numbers,we have to divide and get the remainder then form the number like this: $answer\frac{\text{remainder}}{\text{denominator}}$  

To convert mixed number to improper fraction, we have to multiply denominator with answer then minus with remainder $answer\frac{\text{- remainder}}{\text{x denominator}}$
